Dr Ravi Mittal is a visiting professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi, India. He is also helping start-up companies as an investor and mentor.
From 2011 to 2017, Ravi served as the founding Managing Director and Engineering Head of IP Infusion Software India Limited. During 2008 – 2010, Ravi served as a Vice President (Engineering) at Symbian/Nokia and led product teams at Bangalore, Cambridge, London, Tampere and Helsinki. From 1997 to 2007, Ravi held executive positions at Aricent, IBM, DSQ, and Hughes.
In 1990, Dr Ravi Mittal started his career with the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where he served as a faculty member in the Computer Science department.
Ravi received a prestigious Indo-US Science and Technology fellowship award (post-doctoral research at the University of Maryland, College Park, USA). He published over 30 research papers, co-authored two books, and guided a PhD student.
Ravi completed PhD (Computer Science) from IIT Delhi in 1990, MTech (Computer Engineering) from IIT Roorkee (University of Roorkee) in 1985, and BE (Electronics and Telecommunication) from Govt Engineering College, Jabalpur in 1983.
